Upgrading Your Accreditation

The Touch Football Australia (TFA) Sports Education Framework and National Referee Accreditation Scheme (NRAS) provides for six (6) levels of accreditation within the refereeing ranks of the sport.

Depending on your accreditation level, you may have the opportunity to attend specific tournaments on the pathway, as shown below.

How to Updgrade

Upgrading to the next level requires completion of the following specific requirements:

Level 1 to Level 2

Hold a Level 1 Referee accreditation for a minimum twelve (12) month period

Attend and complete a Level 2 Referee Course (4.5 hours + home study activity)

Pass an on-field practical assessment by a qualified Referee Coach

Level 2 to Level 3

Hold a Level 2 Referee accreditation for a minimum twelve (12) month period

Attend and complete a Level 3 Referee Course (4.5 hours)

Pass a practical (on-field) assessment by members of the Regional or State Referee's Panel at a recognised tournament

Level 3 to Level 4

Hold a Level 3 Referee accreditation for a minimum twelve (12) month period

Pass a practical (on-field) assessment by members of the Regional or State Referee's Panel at a recognised tournament

Level 4 to Level 5

Hold a Level 4 Referee accreditation for a minimum twelve (12) month period

Pass a practical (on-field) assessment by members of the National Referee's Panel at the National Touch League

Level 5 to Level 6

Hold a Level 5 Referee accreditation for a minimum twelve (12) month period

Pass a practical (on-field) assessment by members of the National Referee's Panel at the National Touch League
